Software Engineer

Job Description:

 As a software research engineer, you will be working with a group of highly trained professionals to design, develop, test and integrate both platform and application-level software solutions in the following areas:

Ø        Document management systems, document workflow, text retrieval & natural language processing, network & Internet security, Web services & Web-based applications

Ø        Multimedia content management, eGovernment system and applications

Ø        Image processing and understanding for office equipment and PC software

Minimum Qualifications:

Ø        Msc in computer science or related majors. Project management experience is a plus.

Ø        Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Hands-on skills in Java and or C/C++ is a must. Good understanding and programming experience using J2EE and/or .NET framework preferred.

Ø        A working knowledge of relational database systems, i.e., Oracle, DB2, Sybase, and/or SQL Server.

Ø        Good English communication skills (verbal and written)。 Minimum TOEIC score of 750 is required.

R&D Manager

The R&D manager will be responsible for all phases of the product development cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and engineering support.

Responsibility:

Ø      Directing R&D projects, programs and initiatives.

Ø      Managing a team of software researchers to architect, design and produce enterprise-level software products and solutions. 

Ø      Providing leadership in the analysis, specification, development and testing of software, and providing guidance in technical documentation for project development.

Ø      Tracking development schedules, integrating multiple development project work-streams, and motivating teams in a high-paced, tight timeline environment

Qualifications:

Ø      BS degree in Computer Science or related field. PhD/MS preferred.

Ø      10 years of working experiences in large enterprises for manufacture with a focus on software product development.

Ø      In-depth knowledge of Java/J2EE, C/C++, XML and relational database.

Ø      Must have experience managing an expanding engineering team (not less than 10 people) at medium or large organization.

Ø      Excellent communication, presentation, organization and time-management skills.

Ø      Good Japanese communication skill (Oral and Written) is a must

Ø      A good English communication skill is a plus. Minimum TOEIC score of 900 is required.

Ø      Experience in foreign company is preferred.
